Mike Cowley oversees the extensive Cowley Companies real estate based portfolio. Mike’s current passion is repurposing historic warehouses in downtown Phoenix to unique office space. Mike graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Organizational Psychology. Mike serves as the treasurer for the Maricopa Health Foundation, commissioner on the Maricopa County Planning and Zoning Committee and is a member of the Greater Phoenix Leadership Council. Previous community positions include Chairman of the Board for the Maricopa County Health Care District and as a member of the License Appeals Board for the City of Phoenix.
Greg Fletcher is responsible for the accounting operations, financial reporting, estate planning and treasury functions of the business. He enjoys the innovative and collaborative approach that the company uses to build community alliances and grow the company’s presence where it chooses to invest. Greg graduated with honors from Arizona State University with a degree in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant. Before coming to Cowley Companies, Greg worked for many years in the lending and public accounting industries where he was a Vice President at FINOVA Capital Corporation after having first worked as a tax professional at Deloitte & Touche, LLP.
Rory Blakemore is responsible for Cowley Companies real estate holdings including all new acquisitions, managing the land portfolio and processing all entitlements. Rory graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in Political Science. Prior to Cowley Companies, Rory was the lead staffer for Councilman Tom Simplot where he learned the ins and outs of city government.
Rob Schmitz oversees all aspects of the building portfolio including leasing, broker management, building maintenance, building improvements and tenant retention. Prior to joining the team, Rob worked as the Director of Education and Community Outreach for the Arizona Multihousing Association. In this role, he earned national recognition for his work to create educational opportunities in this sector.
Lee Allen is responsible for new construction and remodel projects for Cowley Companies. Lee graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in Business Management. Prior to working for Cowley Companies, Lee was the managing partner for Starr Ridge: a specialty food company.
Tyler is responsible for processing and receiving all bills and invoices, processing payments and receivables, and assisting Rob (property manager) with broker relations, tenant relations/issues, maintenance and repairs on all properties, and working to lease all available properties. Tyler Graduated from the W.P. Carey School of Business with a B.S. degree of Finance from ASU. Previous work experience includes three years in in AP/AR/Collections with a national home design and flooring company (RM interiors and design)
Shannon Dunn has been with Cowley Companies for almost 14 years as Mike Cowley’s Executive Assistant and Office Manager. Shannon honed her skills managing people, schedules and sponsors as Hospitality Manager at Phoenix International Raceway for the first half of her career. A graduate of ASU, she still lives in Tempe and enjoys spending weekends running the trails at South Mountain.
